I had really intended to turn my new managerial role into an opportunity for more writing -- serious writing -- but also blogging. This is not possible right now. Even with the help of a fantastic new assistant, I'm still killing 50-60 e-mails per night. What were once helpful, even funny emails are now brief to the point of incoherence. "Yeah, that'll work. C."
When people receive e-mails like that from me two days late, they may not know what the hell I'm talking about.
At any rate, we've learned a lot this summer, but perhaps the best lesson of all is that A GOOD ASSISTANT IS WORTH ANYTHING!
